STEM – Geodesic Dome Autumn Challenge Final 2017

On Thursday 14th December, Taya, George and I completed in the Geodesic Dome County Final.  We had great fun working together to build our sphere and even though we didn’t come first we had an amazing time.  We would like to thank Mrs Robertson for on going support and being there with us.

Homework grids

Copies of the homework grids are on the school website which means you can either download them or view them.  The children will still bring home a hardcopy as we know you don’t all have access to the internet or a printer!

Quality Mark Award

We have recently renewed our Quality Mark Award for the third year running.  It is a rigorous inspection by the Local Authority, which includes looking at assessments and teaching methods for different learning styles.  Once again many thanks to all the staff for their hard work.

All our equipment is now marked with Smartwater which is a very effective crime prevention procedure.  It can not be cleaned off either a person or equipment and it has a special identifying code that means it can be traced back to this school.

Ink Cartridges

Please continue to collect empty ink cartridges and pop them in the box.

NO Parking

We have been given an email address that people could contact and send photographs to with regards to bad parking outside school. The email address is for the Walderslade PCSO . Apparently if the photograph has evidence of bad parking and also the index number is visible they can issue a warning. If the offender is persistent then it is possible for them to issue a fine.
